Church Insurance
The Church of Scotland Insurance Services Ltd has developed in conjunction with a small number of insurance partners a dedicated church insurance scheme to meet the needs of Congregations in Scotland. Cover can also be provided under the Scheme for other associated bodies of the Church of Scotland (COS) and for individuals within the Church.
About the Church of Scotland Scheme
The Scheme is administered by the Church of Scotland Insurance Services Ltd from its office in Edinburgh. All profits earned through the Scheme are passed under Gift Aid to the General Trustees of the Church of Scotland to assist them in meeting their charitable objectives of supporting parish ministry and assisting congregations in the provision of suitable buildings.
The Scheme now incorporates a package offering with cover for buildings and contents, loss of revenue, glass, money, personal accident, liabilities, charity trustees indemnity and breach of duty. Flexibility is provided by offering a small number of optional sections which can be added to your policy.
Normal ecclesiastical activities are provided for under the scheme including your insurance needs in respect of the operation of a café or restaurant, a charity shop, and special events and activities (with some limitations) that you may organise for fund raising purposes. The scheme also extends to provide you with cover for small contract works up to £150,000 in value.
Further information regarding the scheme can be obtained by reading the Church Scheme Policy Summary. Alternatively please contact our office directly for further information.
