This cover includes claims made against charity trustees for certain “wrongful acts” made against them in their personal capacity. Any damages awarded against an office bearer as a result of a wrongful act carried out in that capacity and also the cost of defending the claim will be covered. Also covered are costs incurred in obtaining legal advice and representation in the defence of any legal proceedings in respect of environmental matters of for government investigations of any kind. As is usual with such policies penalties by way of civil or criminal fines are not however covered. The limit of indemnity for each claim is 500,000 GBP with an annual aggregate limit under the policy of 5m GBP. The cover is otherwise subject to the policy terms, conditions and exclusions.
