The first group of congregations to receive the benefit of the new arrangements will be those that have the Candlemas renewal date of the 28th February 2013.

Some of the additional covers that are effective from the renewal date of each policy include:

• All available insurance contingencies are automatically incorporated in the standard package including Accidental Damage.
• The Contents of the Church/Church Hall are covered away from the premises up to £15,000 any one item, and £30,000 in total.
• Loss of Revenue, Money, Personal Accident, Theft of Contents, Glass and Frozen Foods Sections will be automatically included within each policy.

What is more the majority of congregations will find that as their policy falls due for renewal that their premiums have reduced.

The new Policy wording and Policy Summary have been updated to reflect these and other improvements in cover and also simplified to make them easier to read and understand.
